American Eagle Aircraft Interior Condition

Fri Mar 22, 2013 9:15 pm

On a scale of 1-5, with 1 being poor and 5 being excellent, how would you rate the interior condition of American Eagle planes by model?

They're all roughly the same, at a 3 or 4, with the exception of the CR7, which I've found to be in great shape.

The regional jets at all carriers get some rough treatment; lots and lots of cycles, lots and lots of passengers loading and unloading bags many times a day, compared to a 737 which would make, on average, longer stage length flights and have fewer bags stuffed into overheads throughout the day.
That's my experience, anyway. ExpressJet's ERJ's are in pretty sad shape, just from abuse. American Eagle has some similar examples.

Disagree. The majority of their fleet is in good condition. There are times where they might be a little dirtier then ideal but that's mostly due to a cheap mainline partner that has eliminated cleaners at the hubs.

AA CR7's are in great shape. The ERJ-140 is in terrible shape. Carpets torn, seats visibly worn, and lav dated.
