EK15 (26/3) Operated By A380 Instead Of B77W

Tue Mar 26, 2013 9:17 am

EK15, Dubai - London Gatwick, is being operated by an A380 (A6-EDO) today instead of the regular B77W. Anyone know why?

Its a one off flight to test the A380 gate at LGW:

From wiki

Quote:
The airline plans to operate a second, "one-off" scheduled A380 flight from Gatwick on 26 March 2013 to test the airport's new three-bridge gate facilities at Pier 6.
Please let me know... If you know this is the end of the world, Let me know... If you know the truth...

There is a press release about Stand 110 (Pier 6) on the Gatwick website but no photos! Would be nice to see what the new stand looks like!

I heard that gate 46 is also going to be converted, although not officially. Could Emirates today announce they will start regular A380 services to LGW?
Next Flights: LHR-OSL (738), OSL-CPH (320), CPH-LHR (321), LHR-HEL (359), HEL-LHR (359)
