Help With Tracking A Tail Number In The 1980's

Tue Jun 18, 2013 9:02 am

Hello,

Does anyone know of a query database search that would tell me what aircraft I had flown back in 1981? I know it's over 30 years ago, but just curious if there was such a thing out there.

My query:

Western Airlines #561 LAX-HNL on June 16, 1981

and

Western Airlines #564 HNL - LAX on June 23, 1981

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Not much help really but

But it can't have been N904WA as she left WA on the 1st June 81...

46930 112 DC10-10 20/07/1973 01/06/1981 N904WA To Capitol Air as N904WA
N903WA was w/off in Oct 79

2 down 12 to go!

You could try and ask these websites and see if someone somewhere has kept some old records

Good luck with your search, it's going to be difficult

Does anyone know if the BTS (or any other U.S. agency like the FAA or DOT) keeps records older than 1995 on microfiche/film or in some other archived format? I'd plan a trip to the archives to cover the few dozen pre-1995 flights on my FlightMemory, if such a thing were available.

I'd pay a portion of your air fare if you do a few searches for me while you're at it!
