Stats On QF108

Fri Jun 28, 2013 7:00 pm

I am scheduled on QF108 (LAX-SYD) in early August. Generally how full is this flight? My company booked me back in the economy class (not sure of the seat, no assignment on the itinerary) and it would be nice to have an empty seat next me so I can kind of stretch out and relax since I will be heading to our office as soon as we arrive in SYD.

Which leg are you referring to?

I can't speak for JFK-LAX, but work on the basis that LAX-SYD will be 100% in August. In Y you have almost next to no chance of having an empty seat anywhere, let alone next to you!

Do you have AAdvantage status (or any other OW status)? If so you can book seats for free. If no it costs $25 to book seats, which I would recommend as well worth it. For $25 having piece of mind knowing that you won't end up in the middle seat for 14 hours is worth every seat IMHO.

It is the LAX-SYD leg, I am on AA ORD-LAX. I am an Aadvantage member, but do not have status nor the miles to use, spent all of those on a ORD-RSW-ORD flight in December.
