EK125- Diversion To MUC (08/09/2013)

Fri Aug 09, 2013 8:34 pm

Just out of pure interest:

I stumbled across an Emirates A345 in MUC on the evening of 08/09/2013. My first thought was that it might be a replacement aircraft for the daily evening flight to DXB (773) but then I realized that it was a diversion from Vienna (VIE). According to FR24 it it did a 360 south of Bratislava and then took the straight path on to MUC.

Here's what the EK website says:

According to Flightradar24 it's still sitting in MUC.

Operations in VIE seem to be perfectly alright. So what could be the reason for continuing on to MUC? I'd be glad if anybody could shed some light on the matter!

Edit: Sorry, when travelling you don't have the ressources you need... apparently some weather issues in VIE. Nevertheless does anybody happen to know more about it?
