US Airways 429 Diversion

Sun Jan 12, 2014 3:55 am

Anyone know what happened to US 429 on 1/11/14? I was sitting outside enjoying an adult beverage and noticed this flight had done many circles and returned to Phx. A mechanical could be obvious, but does anyone know what it could be? Appears to have taken off again after some time on the ground.

Air return for maintenance. They were burning off fuel so they could land within tolerance at PHX. The aircraft was swapped and the flight is now on its way to OGG. Happens quite often with these aging 757s.
