Lufthansa Equipment From Frankfurt To New York?

Thu Jan 16, 2014 1:11 am

Can anyone tell me what equipment Lufthansa use from Frankfurt to New York this summer ? From what I understand they use both the A380 and the B747 ... But is it the 400 Version or the 747-8 Version of the 747 ? Thanx for answers

Why not just check LH schedules on their website? Probably the best way to get the corrrect info. Just enter origin/destination and desired date and in the resulting schedule display click "Flight details" against the desired flight and you'll get the aircraft type/model and link to the seat map.

I did, just having been curious, and it looks like 744 (EWR) and 380 + 744 (JFK) on a random day in May.

Checking LH's website can give you an idea about the class of aircraft they're planning to use, but LH is known for last minute-changes. You might see B747-8 on their website and end up boarding a 747-400. Happened to me quite a few times... "Best" change ever was from a 747-8 to an A340-300. So yeah, they do that a lot, don't get your hopes up if their website shows a 747-8
