Australia - China Flights

Sun Jan 19, 2014 8:54 am

So far from what I know, here are the flights that go from Australia - China (add extra if anything is missing):

- PEK-SYD (1 daily)
- PEK-PVG-SYD (4 weekly)
- PEK-PVG-MEL (5 weekly)

- PVG-SYD (2 daily as of now)
- PVG-MEL (10 weekly as of now)
- PVG-CNS (3 weekly)
- PEK-NKG-SYD (3 weekly)

- CAN-SYD (2 daily)
- CAN-MEL (2 daily)
- CAN-BNE (1 daily)
- CAN-PER (3 weekly)

- CTU-MEL (3 weekly)
- CKG-SYD (2 weekly)

- SYD-PVG (1 daily)

Are they going to add anymore flights by any chance? And which ones would you think could be added? I'd personally like to see flights to new destinations like Xian and Xiamen, as well as Kunming if they can do so.

I do remember that CA was planning to add BNE sometime. And that CZ was going to add in ADL too. Not exactly sure how things are going for MU.

How are load factors going for the 3U routes from CTU and CKG?

RE: Australia - China Flights

Hi CZ326,
I have flown a number of times to China, every time on Qantas except one memorable trip on Japan Air Lines via Tokyo and returning via Osaka.
Every time I have flown the plane has been full or very very close to it. As always, the Qantas inflight staff were magnificent.
I wish Qantas flew to more cities in China.
Xian is a wonderful city - my favourite Chinese city (just beating Shanghai) but I can't see enough traffic yet to warrant a direct Sydney flight ...
Keep smiling,
I just wanna live while I'm alive!
