My favorites are the 757 and 767. I also enjoy the Avro 100.
Don't even ask about my wish list. It goes on and on.

The most comfortable aircraft I've flown on was by far the LH B747-8, even in economy. The A340-600's aren't too bad either.

Favourites:

For comfort -
- A330-300
- A340-600
- A380-800

From enthusiast stand point -
- B77W
- A300-600
- B788

From an enthusiast point of view I'd include the 788 and 77W, but I've never been as comfortable in those as the Airbus' above. Also, the three I mentioned are much quieter than their Boeing counterparts, and on long long flights the enthusiast in me goes out of the window.

Wish list:
- A350
- 747-8i
- MD-11

Not likely:
MD-11
F70/100

Plenty of time:
A380

747-8

Ford Trimotor, EAA's refurbished aircraft, for a 30 minute flight in New Jersey. Amazing.

All modern aircraft are about the same inside, so would have to simply choose on outward appearance alone, and for that of those I've flown, I'd have to choose... Dornier 328. The 757 is a close 2nd.

Wish I could fly (too many, really):
Convair 580
787
Gulfstream IV or a Falcon

RE: Favourite Aircraft Flown And Wish To Fly On

I 'collect' aircraft that I fly on so here goes ...

Wish list:
VC-10 ... My fav aircraft of all time ... But I'm 'unfortunately' way too young to have flown on one And appreciated it....
Concorde ... Almost made it! Been through museum ones however in Britain.
Any model Russian aircraft for my inner avgeek
787 of any model, ditto A350
Dash 7
Any model ATR as they are the biggest 'hole' in my collection of aircraft I have flown on
jetBlue Mint throne seated A321
Absolutely any model biz jet...

Fav flights?
I will think about that.
Off the top of my head, I LOVED a return Sydney - NZ trip years ago on Emirates ... A340-500 Sydney-Christchurch and then 777-300ER Auckland-Sydney with the missing link Christchurch to Auckland being an ANZ 737-200C and me sitting next to the cargo door! So excited and specially selected with the help of ANZ reservations...
Also memorable... Seat 1A on a Thai 777-300 'straight' Bangkok to Phuket, and being allowed into the cockpit, followed by seat 1A on a Malaysian 737-500 Phuket to Penang - my only 737-500 flight! And my only 777-300 flight! And being addressed by name on both flights as I entered the cabin! Phew!

My most heartbreaking cancelled flight?
Easy. Royal Nepal canceling my specially selected 757-200Combi (the only one factory built) flight from Bangkok to Kathmandu And me being unable to reschedule the flight due to other preexisting travel bookings...

Cheers,
Bunumuring.

I've been on most modern commercial types. I never did get to enjoy the L-1011. I'd like to fly on a 764, but I don't suppose the passenger experience is any different from any other 767 with an updated interior.

I'll get my A340 and A380 under my belt this summer.

... And I forgot to add anything military... Would love a flight on a BAE Hawk especially, the most beautiful military p lane out there. Only rivaled by the stillborn YF-23, drool.
Chances of me flying on a military plane - zero, lol. Unless I become Prime Minister or something. Hmmm, now there's motivation to enter federal politics! Vote for me and get a flight on a military plane when I become defence minister!
Lol.

Favorites would have to be the 752 and the Dornier 328 (prop; I've never been on the 328jet). You haven't had a fun takeoff until you've launched from SNA in a lightly loaded 752! Honorable mention to the 764, mostly because it's such a nice plane for its size.

Wish list would be A380 and 788. Also Concorde, although that ship has sailed. I seriously considered shelling out for one of the farewell flights but with a growing family I couldn't really justify it. It was the right choice but I wish it could have been otherwise...

Hey mate,
I forgot that one of my best flights was Sydney-Hong Kong and return on the upper deck in an Ansett 747-300. The service was unbelievable. I remember being handed a delicious individually wrapped ice cream to eat after s superb meal. I remember incredible attention from the flight attendants. I remember being allowed to spend about 45 minutes in the cockpit. I remember the nifty storage bins between my window seat and the curving wall. Overall, I imagined that I was in a biz jet or something else exclusive. It really felt different to main deck on a 747, not surprising considering the small number of seats in the 'hump'.
Thanks for jolting my memory!
RIP Ansett. You are still missed.

Favourite aircraft flown:

Boeing 777-200ER
My first ever ride on the 777 in December 2001. At the time, I considered that Singapore Airlines' old economy seats on the 777-200ER was superb - comfortable and spacious. The 777 was like no other plane I had flown on before.

Boeing 777-300ER
I flew on the CX 777-300ER in December 2009, with the old hard shell seats (which I didn't really mind at all). Loved the flight from HKG-YVR and back. Take off performance was spectacular, as was the noise those GE90s make - music to my ears.

Boeing 747-400
My first experience on the 747-400 was on a domestic flight from SYD-PER way back in 1996. Loved my experience then. The 747-400 is still one of my favourite aircraft to fly on, and one day I'd hope to get to fly on the upper deck of the 747. Also flew on the 747-400 from AKL-YVR and back in January/February 2011 - a full 15 years in between 744 flights. All three of my flights on the 747-400 has been silky smooth which, for someone who is prone to motion sickness, is a good thing.

Wish list:

Boeing 747-400 upper deck
Boeing 747-400ER (hopefully I'll be able to log this in January next year; I'm aiming to go on the Antarctica scenic flight)
Boeing 747-8
Boeing 777-200 (not too many opportunities left to fly on these, unfortunately)
Boeing 777-200LR
Boeing 777-300 (again, not too many opportunities - only 60 in the world)
Boeing 787-8
Boeing 787-9
