Ryanair bases

Sun Dec 31, 2017 1:18 pm

Hello everyone! I was wondering if there is a way to know how many planes there are at each of the many bases Ryanair has around Europe! It would be great to also have reg numbers, but that might be harder to get. Also, if a route is between two bases, who operates that flight? Thanks so much for the help!

The aircraft rotate between bases, so you won't be able to assign specific registration numbers to each base.

As example, I picked EI-DHW at random:

Currently based at CTA, it arrived there on 14 Dec. Prior to arriving at CTA, it operated flights from BCN on 13 Dec and was based up to 13 Dec at FCO where it had operated flights from since 11 Nov. At the start of Nov it was based at STN.
Flown in: A30B,A306,A310,A319,A320,A321,A332,A333,A343,A346,A359,A388,BA11,BU31,B190,(..54 more types..),VC10,WESX

For the U.K. (open to correction)

Birmingham has 4 (rising to 5 next summer)
Leeds has 3
Manchester has 9 (rising to 12 next summer)
Liverpool has 4
Bristol has 2
Belfast has 2 (was supposed to be 3 in 2018 but not sure how that plan still stands)

Not sure how many EDI/GLA/STN/LTN have.

A list of bases (and other airports served) can be found here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ryanair_destinations

I know Wikipedia is not a reliable source but this list seems to be pretty accurate. It does however not say how many aircraft there are at each base. For flights between bases, it varies from which base the flight is operated. Sometimes it's operated from one base, sometimes from the other.

It even possible within Ryanair system for crew and aircraft to W pattern . For instance several crews from the Baltic and Poland region fly to the the likes of Stansted early in the morning the operate to other sectors during the day then a return to base in the evening often with a different aircraft !

Easyjet also do this

I think it is 22-25 based in Dublin. Originating Base for particular flights seems to change depending on circumstances. When they began DUB-CRL, the flight used to originate in Dub. This was fantatstic when we used to do day trips to Florennes for the tlp, then, near the end, flights originated in CRL. The difference was being at the Base for 09.00hr, and arriving at 12.00hr. Great days tho, usually lesss than €80 each and we would get both the morning and afternnon waves
