Very approximate and depends on a number of factors, but I would say ~120 bags in the back and ~50 in the front.

I often throw the bags, and I would guess ~100 front, ~80 rear. If no one gives a definitive answer by the time I start my next trip, I'll find out.

Interesting of the two comments above one thinks front is bigger and the other rear is bigger. I have no idea myself but thought interesting.

It maybe not which is larger, just were the weight needs to be for aircraft weight and balance.

I can only give information based on how my airline loads them, but our restrictions on loading is approximately 100 in the front and 120-140 in the rear utilizing all 6 bins (A-F) based on an average weight of 30 Lbs per bag.

The aft baggage pit tapers down as you go aft from the door. So yup, I could see the aft pit might hold fewer bags than the forward pit.

Most I’ve ever managed was 90 in the front, and about 120 aft, but we didn’t use bin F.

Whoa, 6 “bins” in such a small airplane? How many will the MAX 10 have?

Same amount. There are three "bins" per door. Bin A is fwd of the front cargo door, B is directly in front and C is between the door and the wing. Bin D is between the rear door and the wing, E is directly in front of the door and F is the furthest rear bin between the door and APU. In the MAX10 bins C and D will be larger (they are the only bins that vary in size for the most part between each model of the NG/MAX).

It's not a matter of thinking one is bigger, the rear is objectively bigger. There's no way you're getting 100 in the front unless they're purse sized bags.
