I have always wondered. Does your normal FDX or UPS overnight pilot fly one two legs a night? Example:Austin to Memphis and back to Memphis again. Do the pilots fly to Austin in the morning and spend all day in Austin only to wait to the evening to fly back to Memphis? Or do the pilots catch a flight back home to Memphis after arriving in Austin, and vice versa for the evening flight?
Its hard for me to comprehend that pilots would only fly one leg be it from Louiville or Memphis to outgoing cities and stay there ALL DAY doing nothing. If that was the case, you probably build your flight time slowly.
Though you guys do get paid very, very well. More than most airlines, maybe that the enticement to what would be very little flying time everyday.
