Climbing Through 10,000'

For the airline pilots: with the 250 kts speed restriction below 10,000' how would you characterize your climbs before reaching this altitude? Do you keep the power decreased until reaching 10 and then power up to exceed 250 kts after 10,000'? Do you accelerate through the climb and calculate it so you don't exceed 250 kts below 10,000' (while keeping the same power setting through the ENTIRE climb)? Do you maintain your speed just below 250 kts until passing 10,000'?Thanks for the help.

Normally one uses climb power setting and controls speed at 250 knots with pitch attitude. Once reaching 10,000' lowering the nose attitude causes speed to increase with power remaining constant.

Naturally, there are variables on ever flight which modifies what is "normally" done. In fact, my best time (16 minutes) to FL410 was in a B757 with SNA noise abatement climb power setting (less than 2nd de-rated climb power).
