has anyone experienced a deployment of an overwing slide on the 319/320 airbus during a deicing event?

Never heard of anything like that...was working with AIB for 8 months in emergency evacuation, and never came across a scenario like that.....that's not to say old cases exist......

Here at Air can we do a deploy test of the odd overwing slide (don't do it very often its hell getting the slide folded back ) to check emergency lighting and slide deployment. There is an inspection card for inspecting the cover panel looking for delam and erosion of the panel this is due to a couple slides having lost in the past but nothing recently they do say in the AMM for the 320 that when doing deicing of the A/C not to spray directly at the cover panel. I will say this though that the 767 has had a history of lossing overwing slides and it still is a problem.

ACA320, when you mean losing, do you mean failed deployments or actually inflight loss?
