I used to work the CALzone in EWR from Feb.1987 until Dec.91. I know most of the mechs there (though lots started after I left). My actual start date was Feb.19/20 1987, if you noticed, its was a very popular start date as thats when most of the PEX/Butler mechs started working for CO.
Your profile says you're from the Bronx. Do you know an avionics guy initials V.M. He was from the Bronx also, we went to TSA together.
Line Mechanic for US in CLT...Based at the hangar side of the field...we work short-term out of service A/C...Anything that can't be fixed on the gate in less than an hour...sorta' like a 3rd shift maintainence on daylights...the best of both worlds IMO. ---- Testament to what a small world aviation can be; I too was a PEX/Butler mechanic, and was one of FDXmech's co-workers until the big "C" took over. Good times they were then, good times they are now...knock on wood.
Hi CdfMXtech, Buzz here. I'm called a Line Mechanic, er "Aviation Maint. Tech." and i'm on midnights by choice at UAL. I enjoy the troubleshooting.
I'm at Portland Oregon.
Did you hear about the Prez of NWA leaving to run Burger King? Sounds like the start of a joke.....
