how do pilots get to the aircraft frm the ops center? I assume that there is a special bus or something, but i could be wrong. Also, how do they know where the ops center is in the airport, and how do they get to there from the hotel or their home?
Sometimes pilots and cabin crew are bussed to the a/c sometimes they walk through the terminal, I believe that some crews don't go to the ops room but receive all of the paperwork directly at their hotel
You have a very big mouth! When I read most of the topics in this forum I see your childish comments. Is this because you don't have any good answers and that you just wish you were a airline mecanic? Or is it more because you are on a high ride on your ego? This forum is for all people. And I think it's just nice that people want to learn about aircrafts. So stop making fun of people and take a good look in the mirror before you write your comments!
Hey Sudden, you could learn a little something on message board ettiquette. Twottertwench told...ahem...a joke! I thought it was funny, there's nothing wrong with a joke, you don't have to be as serious as a brick (is that possible)?
I've seen pilots get to the aircraft just through the jetway, so who knows.
At crew domiciles, they just take the shuttle bus from the employee lots to the concourse. In other cities, they just take the shuttle bus from the hotel to the airport and leg it to ops and the gate from there. They know where flight ops (at cities that have them) from asking ops for directions. At many cities, they get their dispatch from the gate agent.
