Hard Facts About Jet Engines?

Sun Oct 14, 2001 6:29 am

If someone could tell me where to find some facts about jet engines(how they work, the development of them etc) i would be very pleased. It's this project in school that i have to do. Thanx in advance.

One of the nice things about research papers and reports is that you get to do research...

I'd suggest going over to http://www.google.com and searching for these items related to jet engines and their development...

A book that KSUWILDCAT mentioned is really worth reading. All the details you need.

Another book I enjoyed was 'Turbulent Skies' it is really a history of commercial aviation but has great information on the development of gas turbine engines!

Try this:
http://www.rolls-royce.com/education/gasturbine/default.htm

I used it as part of a mini physics dissertation i've just completed at university.
