over the years, the a300 b series and a310 have had a large number of engine typese gradualy certified for their use. how can i tell them apart externaly? also, were similar engines used on the 310 -200 and -300?

finaly, does anyone know which engine was used by

CSA (310)
SAA (300)
PanAn (310)

Good question, The early 300's (not the -600) all used the CF-6 (dont ask me the specific variant). So that answers the SAA A300 question I think. The A310 (both -200 and -300) offered improved CF-6 variants and a PW 405? engine as well. The modernized A300-600(R) offered both newer versions of the CF-6 as well as a PW engine. now to the airlines
KLM A310-200:GE CF-6
CSA A310-300:GE CF-6
sorry thats all i know

The way to identify a GE CF6 is to look for the cone shaped exhaust on the back of the engine.

Thank's for 310_ENGINEER for the completion of info.
I didn't know that Kenya Airways has too much
different A310's with different engines.
I thought that Air Seychelles operates only 757's and
767's.

Thank you!

Hello,
Air Seychelles does not have that A300 any more, and they don't have the 757 either, only B763 and B73G. The 757 was replaced by a B762, which was replaced by a B763. The A300 was operated back in the '80s.

A small addition to the PanAm aircraft. The -200's used the JT9D-7R4 while the -300's only, used the PW4152.
