Any Air Traffic Controllers Out There?

Sat Dec 08, 2001 3:00 am

 Smile Hi everyone!  Smile

Could an Air Traffic Controller please get in contact with me and tell me about their job.
I am very young, but would love to become an air traffic controller.
Please tell me what is involved in the job (apart from controlling traffic.)

Thanks for all your replies!

Hello DC-10 Levo,

As you're living in the UK (the US ATC system is quite different), feel free to e-mail me anytime... I cannot stay on the net longer as I've got to go for night shift in a few minutes.

That's part of the job, as well ! Big grin

I'm a trainee!

And I work on a air force base in Sweden, which has a system somewhat similar to the one in the UK.
Feel free to mail me.

Regards, Anders

I want to become an ATC. MightyFalcon, you live in Muscat? That is a pretty cool city. Hopefully I can work TRACON when I get older for AMS, IAH, DXB, NRT, HKG, JFK, or any other big ones.

Hi ILS,

Not only the city is cool, but the country is great too! Hope you'll get what you're looking for; ATC is such a fantastic job for those interested in aeronautics.

All the best  Smile
