What To Expect From Wx Hazards?

Tue Feb 12, 2002 3:13 pm

Hi all,

For so many times I have taken off in rainy weather and I was just wondering, what extra "stuff" do pilots do before takeoff in rain/snow and what do they have to anticipate/see when they takeoff?

Anybody with similar experiences, be it a passenger who had a cockpit visit in this kind of situation or any pilot/ co-pilots who had this experiences before.

Also, let's make this interesting:
- Unexpected hailstorm with pea sized ice.
- Sandstorm/duststorm with gusty winds.

Thanks for replying if you do!
