What the hell is going on HERE??!!
Why is the Captains control wheel in a roll, and the FO wheel asleep??!!

Some kind of jammed controls demo??

the captains control column has most likely been disconnected for maintenance. That's the most logical reason I can think of.

Considering where it was taken, I don't find it likely that rerigging the controls would be done. However, there's normally a disconnect function available should one control column jam. When excessive force is applied to a column in a control axis with the other column resisting, it disconnects the columns typically giving each column control of the control surfaces on that side. On the types I'm familiar with, they connect automatically once they agree again but can be permanently disconnected (requring a reset on the ground) manually.

The dash 8 has pitch and roll disconnects, and they are great for maintenance. By moving one yoke like that, access to the panel is improved, and it doesn`t spring back to neutral while you are working.
