AA 757 Interiors

Sun Jun 16, 2002 3:38 am

Anyone know how many 757's have been converted over to the new AA interior? Is this process still going on, or has it been postponed?

It's still going on.

The other week, I flew with AA down to Florida and had 757's both ways. One had the new blue seats with the headrests and MRTC (plus the new bigger storage bins) and the other had the older light blue seats with the smaller bins and no MRTC.

I thought all AA aircraft had MRTC. Just because you had the old seats doesn't mean there's not MRTC. I flew on ex-QQ MD-80s & 90s and they had MRTC, but still the old seats.

In regards to MRTC, all AA 757's have been converted. AA is still in the process of putting in new overhead bins on the 757's. It will be awhile before AA starts putting in Recaro coach seats on their 757. Money is the main issue of course.

The new 757's that AA started taking delivery of last year have the panelling, bulkhead design, and carpeting as AA 737.
