B717 Thrust Reversers

The caption in the above photo says that this aircraft returned after a hydraulic system failure, thus having to manually extend the landing gear.
He said the reversers weren't deployed due to the failure.

Does anyone know if the B717 incorporates the Thrust Reverser Accumulators used on the Md80s??

While I can't answer your question directly, I have a theory why the pilot didn't use the reversers.

On some AOM's I have seen, with a hydraulic failure, it is said to use as little non-essential hydraulic items to preserve system pressure and fluid. My point being maybe he didn't need to use the reversers because he had enough runway to stop.

Just my 2 cents, and I am probably wrong as I have never worked on a 717

I've heard that if pilots land w/ enough runway sufficient enough to not deploy reverse thrust, sometimes they won't, but if they're trying to catch a taxiway close to the gate they will, but Jetdoctor- if I had a hydraulic system failure I sure wouldn't waste any pressure. Your theory sounds right to me.

Ummm....that is why I am asking are these aircraft equipped with TR accumulators. You can pop an -80 TR without hydraulics because of those accumulators.
