737 Takeoff Speeds

Mon Sep 23, 2002 5:07 am

Hi,

Can someone tell me what would be a "typical" VR and climbout speed for a 737? i know it varies by wind and weight and such but how much of a range does that speed have?

FLAPS 5

GW V1/VR/V2
57 141/143/148
56 140/142/147
55 139/140/146
50 131/132/139
45 122/123/132
40 117/118/125

That's for the 737-500.

i had thought of that but the numbers - I don't think "57" is for 570,000 lbs? That sound too heavy for a 737...... does it stand for weight in KG? The max t/o weight for a 737-500 in KG is 60,000....

makes sense - higher gross weight = faster speed

Without getting into all the details, a quick look at my AA 737-800 performance charts show Vr ranges of 100 to 157 knots and V2 ranges of 118 to 162 knots. Too many variables to list all possible ranges. Personally, I don't recall any Vr lower than 116 nor greater than 150.
