Stickers

In my photo below, the sticker on the front of the VirginBlue plane is coming off, in fact it was half removed. This plane had been in service for about a month when I took the photo, I just wondered what would make it come off?

One reason for the sticker comming off could be bubbles of air trapped underneath when it was applied. As the aircraft accends and the pressure decreases, the bubble of air expands forcing the sticker to come away from the aircraft. If the bubble is towards the nose of the aircraft, the airflow works on the raised part of the sticker and starts to peel it back.

Not putting edge sealing compound on the edges of the decal will do it too.
