Determination Of Number Of Flight Deck Crews

Fri Jan 31, 2003 10:30 pm

Hello,
I was wondering...what is the number of hours in which a particular flight has to have "relief crews" on board? flights of more than 8 hours? or 10? or 12? Also, what's the maximum number of hours that pilots can work in a day? Like say, can a pair work a ORD-SFO flight round trip? (Approx. 4 hour flight). any response is appreciated!
