B737-300/400 Type Of Altimeter/IAS

Sat Feb 01, 2003 12:01 pm

I was looking at some B737-300/400 pics off the airliners.net photo section and I noticed that the electric type altimeter is measured in 20-foot increments. It is so amazing. Where could I order that just to look at it for display?

Does anybody know the model and type?? see the pic below. Including the airspeed indicator

Go to eBay, and click on eBay Motors. Under a search, type in "boeing". Or, try going into eBay Motors Aviation section on the left side of the web page. There's some interesting parts and other plane stuff, including the first 707 simulator ever built, currently bidding at $7,300!!! Also 3 757 coach cabin seats for $100!!!

I guess now I've seen it all. A/C parts collecting as a hobby. Interesting!

I have a Kollsman altimeter that is almost identical to that on on the 737. It' not serviceable and has been deemed beyond economical repair. From a visual and altitude reading standpoint it still works. I think the maing faults are case leakage and encoder circuit related.

If you want it, send me an email. A working version of one of these is typically in the $6000 range, so a broken one is probably more in your budget.
