For the summer schedules, the departure time of the BA
2 has been brought forward, and it will depart JFK
at 09:00 EDT.
Obviously the arrival time at LHR
has also come forward, and the aircraft will arrive at a busier time at LHR
, with an increased chance of ATC delays.
The five minute increase in the flight schedule, to 4h:00m, reflects this, and the new arrival time LHR
is 18:00 BST.
The typical flying
time of around 3h:15m, before any ATC delays, may well decrease a couple of minutes, as the Summer Deceleration Point is much closer to the UK coast than the Winter Deceleration Point, so Concorde can stay at Mach 2.0 a bit longer.
