LAX Ramp Control

Sun Mar 30, 2003 8:26 am

While listening to my scanner at LAX, sometimes, I don't hear aircraft request pushback from ground control. However, the aircraft will still push back. Is there a ramp control frequency? If so, what's the freq? If you can shed some light on this matter, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Until somebody finds it, scan through the 129-132 MHz range. They tend to be there. (Ever notice ATC freqs skip that band?)

Don't know the others, but here's the one's AA uses:
D-9 Alley --North Ground Control... 121.65
D-10 Alley --Alaska Ramp... 130.85
C-10 Alley --AA Ramp... 129.32
C-9 Alley --Delta Ramp... 131.45

Frequencies between 129 and 131.97 are generally used by ArInc or equivalent (company frequencies) in the USA...

Most LAX ramps are controlled by one specific airline, which coordinates with ground control for the entry and/or exit traffic...
