Aircraft To Find?

Tue Sep 23, 2003 11:37 pm

Dear Community,

it's only a question...

I want to follow up, what routing a aircraft "will go" during a day / week.
My idea was to figure out firstly the Airline (for example: AIR BERLIN) and the Aircraft-Type (B737-800 & B737-400) and check out the web-site or a paper-flightplan for this information...but, it seams to be impossible to select destination by destination & date by daty, write it down and collect so the cmpl. flightplan. It seams to be a horrible job...

At the end I want to have the following :
Aircraft1 -
Routing Monday: DUS - PMI - MUC - PMI - DUS
Routing Tuesday: DUS - ZRH - DUS - AGA - DUS
...but not virtual or expected - I want to have REAL routings.

Is there any way to figure out this kind of things easily on any source ??? Can you help me ?? Not only for Air Berlin, als some other airlines are welcome.

Your help would be highly appreciate

A couple people have posted this before, and I saved them because it's interesting to see where a particular jets goes in a month.

This is an actual month (January 2002) in the life of N210UA, a 2-class 777 for United.

This is not something the general public needs to know so no airline will spend the time/money to make it available to the general public. You need to ask someone on the "inside."  Wink/being sarcastic

In addition to what AAR90 mentioned, I'll also point out (from where these decisions are made) that the information is quite subject to change, literally minute-by-minute sometimes. The most common variables are weather-related, and also which aircraft within an airline's fleet are out-of-service at any one moment.
ALL views, opinions expressed are mine ONLY and are NOT representative of those shared by Southwest Airlines Co.

There are "one time flight plans" - filed for each flights, and RPL, "repetitive flight plans", for flights scheduled, i.e. on a daily base... the route remains the same in that case, but ATC may change it based on traffic...
Cleared "as filed" then later changes, happen to me many times... Some of you, who are airline enthusiasts, are going "beyond" even, of the expectations of line pilots. If we are "normally" flying that route, but the next flight, ATC gives us a different routing, the only problem is to have to copy the changes... and if much longer, do we carry enough fuel...
As an example, I read sometimes "what registry was the airplane flying that route on last thursday...?" - Madre de Dios...! - I dont even remember which airplane registry is the one I flew the day before yesterday... What is "so" important to aviation enthusiasts is often of little interest to pilots. But it is always a pleasure to read some facts trough your expert "observer's eyes..."
Keep the good work, happy contrails  Smile

For those who really gotta know, here's the past 5-days routing for aircraft 3CC (B738) from AA's database:

..FLT... FROM... TO... ACFT... OFF/ON... TIME... TST... CYCL

Dear all,

thanks for this informations - especially for the routings from 'GOBOEING' and 'AAR90'.
I think you are right if you say, this are no "public datas"...but for me it is very interesting and so I'm ask for.
At the end, I have to look to the Airline-Flightplans....

thank you
