AUS Pilots: Thoughts On NAS 2b

Sun Nov 02, 2003 10:36 am

Hi to all the other Australian pilots out there!

I'd be very interested to know your thoughts on NAS stage 2b which comes into effect on Nov. 27 if I remember rightly.

Personally, I'm a little confused as to how removing all FIA boundaries from all the charts helps safety. Surely having everybody with a radio on the same frequency would go a long way to increasing situational awareness!

And secondly, now that us GA VFR pilots are strictly prohibited from making broadcasts on area frequencies, what do we do in a lane of entry??
