What's On The Nose Of The A318/319/320/321?

what is the square marking on the nose of the A320? it's on every plane in this series i've seen.

It is a static port. Used for the pitot static system.

almost every modern aircraft has got these static ports..not only an the front

i know that every plane has them, just was never close enough to an airbus nose to see one.

The square outline you see is is just a painted-on outline of the area to avoid during any operation that might damage the probe, such as a direct blast of de-icing fluid, or any physical contact by ground equipment.
