Physical Differences On Etops Aircraft And Standar

Tue Jan 27, 2004 12:52 pm

Hello all,

What happens to an aircraft before it is certified for etops? What modifications must be made (ie: what actually different between an etops 737-700 and a standard uncertfied 737-700?)? Is etops more of a certifaction of the aircraft or the crew operating it?

thanks,

rocky racoon

The differences between a 73G and an ETOPS 73G is limited to safety equipment, in terms of physical changes.

The maintenance practices for an ETOPS aircraft are different.
