Southeast Asia Rvsm?

Tue Feb 10, 2004 9:34 pm

Hi gents...

After seeing (with awe) the nice photographic work of Bailey (thumbs up mate), I realized that seems that RVSM was indeed implemented on southeast asia airspace. Is that so? Since when?

The last documentation I read said something about a trial phase only..

Could someone confirm the extent of this? I mean, FIRs involved. Thanks

Have a good time

Indonesia RVSM... ALL Indonesian FIRs.
Oct2002-2003: FL350 - 390 RVSM FL330-FL340 Selected Air routes only.
Oct2003-2004: FL310 - FL390 RVSM
Oct2004 onwards: FL300 - FL410 RVSM *I think*

Singapore FIR is also RVSM, I think Malaysia too.

When losing situational awareness, pray Cumulus Granitus isn't nearby !

Yes RVSM and RNP is implemented in Malaysia and all MH's aircraft were upgraded a few years back for this purpose. The whole South China Sea airspace also has RVSM and I think RNP (forgot if it was RNP 5 or 10).
