I`m an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (the correct Canadian title for this career) in the Vancouver area. Look around the Transport Canada website, maybe they have a list of approved schools on there. I have seen it in print. SAIT in Calgary has a good reputation, BCIT in Vancouver isn`t bad either. I`m sorry I don`t know anything about any Eastern schools. Good luck!
BTW the site is http://www.tc.gc.ca.

I went to BCIT in their very first avionics class, graduating in '86. The course has changed a lot since then, for the better overall, but now with less airframe emphasis.

What do you mean?

BCIT eh, I though about going there, I'm only 3 hours north, but the prospect of living and commuting in Vancouver did not serve well for me. The course is expensive, and although I can afford it, I rather stay in shape and fire a machine gun or two while learning Acting devilish. Besides, the outlook of getting a job after serving for 3-5 years is better on the resume.
