Well guys. As a future pilot (hopefully), I get the same buzzes as 'Planespotting' described. I've watched a few of the ITVV DVDs and videos and it does give you an insight into what the pilots do. OK
so you may have to do 4 sectors a day but it's a LOT of work from what I've seen. All the breifings, making sure you're ac is balanced and all the weights are correct etc, preparation in case something goes wrong...etc etc. Right now what scares me is the responsability of say a max limit crosswind landing on like my first day in the job....it'd scare me ****less. Mind you, that's probably because i've had NO training whatsoever, and am not properly prepared for it.
I think i'd better get earning some money to work my way through the schools, or go for sponsorship...wonder if it's possible to go abroad and do it and get a job with an airline abroad? Like EK
, i was @ LHR
on Weds and the pilot on the radio for a dep and an arr had an American voice.
