What Is The Little Thing Hanging From The Wing?

Hi! I was wondering what the little hanging thing is hanging from the second pointy thingy on the wing? What is the point thing called? Thanks!

And by the way..thats an outboard landing light. 737's have them mounted there....

I believe the next gen 737s (600-900) don't have the ice cream scoop landing light on the flap fairing, they instead have two on the fuselage and two near the wind root.

Not sure which thing you are asking about. The light at the trailing edge of the wingtip is the tail logo light that shines on the vertical tail.
The light hanging down from the flap "canoe fairing" is the landing light, as stated above.

no, its the second generation 737s, the -300 to -500 that have the lights under the wing. the next generation have them mounted under the wing root.

Actually, the -100s and -200s also have them on the flap canoe, so it's the -100s through -500s that have them this way...

Thats the Outboard Landing Light,present on the 737-100to500 series.The NGs dont have them mounted on the Flap track Fairing,instead its located ahead of the Air Condition bay under the Fuselage [Suseptible to FOD].
