Nah. I'm sure that the Bose is a superior headset, but it's probably not going to be $1000 superior. If you've got something (especially an ANR
something) that does the job fine, I say stick with it. You are probably just going to beat the crap out of your headset, whatever it might be, flight instructing anyway.
I'm in a similar situation. I currently own a LightSPEED 15X (ANR
), which is substantially better than my old Avcomm PNRs. However, I think that once I advance on from flight instructing, I'm going to pick up a David Clark H10-13X (ENC
). Who knows, my LightSPEED might even last that long.
My thought process for the LightSPEED purchase: I wanted ANR
, but I didn't have $600 to blow on headsets right then.
