All of the Western FADEC HBTFs are extremely reliable (I can't vouch for the Russian ones). Unfortunately, there are several measures of merit for reliability. Some powerplants may do better in one and not as good in another. The newer CFM-56s and RB211s are up there.

The Rolls Royce RB211-535. One installed on an Icelandair 757 operated 40,531 hours. I believe that is the highest on-wing time ever. Know of a CF6-80C2 that went 30,000 hours on a US Airways 767.

GE90 has featured more successful ETOPS testing (though, not in terms of hours) than any other engine

It really depends on which manufacturer's rep you are talking to at the time.

A strong arguement could be made for the RB211 but in reality factors such as company procedures climate and usage have much more of an effect on life IMHO.
