Continental Pay, LN/SN?

On the pay scale shown on this website, they categorize the Captains and First Officers into three categories, "WIDE," "LN," and "SN" and my question is what do the letters LN and SN stand for? Do they mean "L"ong and "S"hort something maybe?

Also, why do they consider a 757-300 a wide body? It only has the one aisle?

At CO we use the 3 categories and the combination there of to base pay.

Wide, is the B777, B767-200,-400
LN, Large narrowbody, B757-200 & -300, B737-800, -900, MD80.
Note: the B757-300 is still under negotiation as to which category it will be placed after 3years on property. Pilot thinking is it is a "heavy", company position is it is a single aisle narrowbody.
SN, small narrowbody, B737-500,-300.

Pay is based on which a/c you fly and a combination there of, ie. half the month flown in a B737-300, and half the month in the B737-800 then you would recive a blend pay of the LN, and SN $. (approx. $168/hr) ;

For now anyway, "d'oh!"?

- I can understand considering the 757s and the B738/9s a large narrowbody, but a MD80? Why isn't that considered a SN?

This is quite funny to me. Most operators operate their 762s at a lower capasity than their 752s. The 753s have 25 more seats more than the 762 and still the pay is less?!? These A/C both have 2 engines and although the 762 is wide, the 752/3 are long!

Tiger, Its based on a certain number of seats between 141 and 124. Not sure of the exact number however.
