Arinc 628

Wed Dec 22, 2004 12:53 am

I was reading about the Empower power system, used by airlines to provide power to passengers to laptops. The brocure I am reading about says the connectors use the ARINC 628 standard.

When I do a internet search on that standard, I find it also applies to the IFE electric headphone jacks and other IFE related items in addition to the laptop power system.

My question is, is the ARINC 628 standard a series of standards for aircraft electronics or is it a single standard for aircraft power systems?

EDIT: Mispelled ARINC
