Canada's Chartered Antonovs

Fri Jan 07, 2005 10:04 am

I have read that the Canadian government is chartering two Antonovs for tsunami relief efforts. I have, however, been unable to find any more details about these flights.

When are these aircraft arriving, or have they already done so? I am assuming they are both An-124s; is this correct? And finally, what airport are they landing at?

Thanks for any help,

A346Dude
You know the gear is up and locked when it takes full throttle to taxi to the terminal.

I saw an AN-124 at MAD December 30. Did it have anything to do with the relief efforts or was it just coincidence?
Travel? Why would i travel if I can watch it on TV?

The Canadian Govt chartered 4 or 5 An124's I believe. I talked to several of those Polet An124's as they passed Montreal FIR and threw Quebec City Terminal, still climbing, believe it or not!
