MD10 Gee Wiz Info

Fedex will be up grading all the MD10-10's & -30's with MD11 Main landing gear tires & brakes. They are carbon brakes, the weight savings is about 2000lbs per airplane. Cost savings in the millions over time.
Next time try the old "dirty Sanchez" She'll love it !!!

WRONG !!! Delta guy... If you checked you would clearly see that it was NIXON's fault for the brake weight ...Same brakes since 1970 ...DAH !

LMAO.. I saw Dc10guy was the poster and I was waiting on the political plug too.. I didn't know he could make a post without it.

Now if only someone would make carbon brakes for the MD-80 AA could save a bundle as well.

Ok.. they're updating the tires and brakes.. What about the wheels themselves? The MD11 wheels have to be lighter than the old (and ugly) DC10 design...

Well that explains why I keep getting those damned A-300s at STL. I hate those airplanes. I can't reach the refueling adapters on the wing.
