CRJ Winglet Modification

Sun Mar 27, 2005 3:23 am

Bombardier recently annouced of an IGW version of the CRJ-700 and CRJ-900, which would feature slanted winglets instead of the standard winglets that stand perpendicular to the wing. With all of the winglet modifications that have been going on lately to the Boeing aircraft, particulary those belonging to CO and WN, could current customers of the original CRJ aircraft, the CRJ-100/200, seek to have such modifications done in hopes of increasing efficiency?

I haven't heard of this myself, but usually a modifcation package will come out if operators of the 200 want it. The cost would be pretty high I'm sure, might not be worth the saving. Don't take me seriously, I probably don't know what I'm talking about
