Pilot Database!

Tue May 24, 2005 7:50 pm

Hi guys,

I need some fast help and turn to you to give me the answer.

There is database out there which have all pilots registered. I saw a topic a little while back where this site were included in a reply, but can't find now.

It's not Landings.com!

Please help me out here as I need the info rather fast!

Thanks in advance!

If its a US Airman you can verify via the FAA database.

Thanks for pointing this out. I've used the N number search a lot, but never the pilot database. I checked my record and the address was out of date, so I corrected it. Hunting around, I found Amelia Earhart, Howard Hughes, George H W Bush, Earnest Gann, Charles Lindbergh, George W Bush, Roscoe Turner, John Travolota, Jimmie Buffett (lots of ratings!) and many others. I even tracked down an old friend from college.

Quoting Laxintl (Reply 1):

Be advised a pilot can "opt out" of having his name in the public database. I have done that myself and I know hundreds of other airline pilots who have done just that.

The data is public and anyone can get it and you tend to become inundated in more junk mail.

Here's an interesting one: John Denver is listed under his real name - Henry John Deutschendorf Jr.
