Charter Operations On B737: -600, -700 And -800

Mon Aug 29, 2005 1:41 am

Possible scenario: Flights of up to 7h non-stop and up to 11h with technical stop, no airport over 1000ft altitude.
Aircraft passenger configuration: NO less than 31" seat pitch.
Which of these 3 B737 Next Generation - with winglets - is better for a charter operation?
The -600, -700 or -800.

Yes, but the -800 has the same range of a -600 and may require an extra flight attendant (or 2 if there's no crewchange at the destinations).

I would say -700 or -800. When it comes to picking which, it all depends on the situation.
-700: less F/As, cheaper to buy, more range
-800: more cargo space, room for more paying pax, lower costs per seat
