H20 Disinfection System

Wed Sep 14, 2005 3:47 am

Hey Everyone,

Does anyone here have any experience with UV Light Water Disinfection Systems. The company I work for is going to be installing this system on a couple a/c, and I was wondering If anyone knows how well it works or how it is from a maintenance friendly standpoint.

Thanks

I can't speak in terms of aircraft directly, but a water engineering firm I used to work for installed them in municipal water treatment plants all the time, so I'd say they can be extremely effective.

We have this setup in our G-IV and aside from changing the bulbs every 3000 hours, it has been a trouble-free system. Bulbs are pricey at about $175 US each.....
