This question is mostly aimed at Dash-8 pilots. What's the procedure for landing without a main gear? Looking at the design of the aircraft, having one of the main gears fail to deploy, I'd imagine the aircraft will be quite off balance. Would you opt to have the other main gear down, or retracted?

If I'd have to guess, I'd say you'd leave the good gear down, touch down on that one to absorb the shock. However, wouldn't it be very hard to control the plane after lift is gone? If you recall, there was an incident of a USAir 737 that had to land with a main gear up...
Thanks for your answers,
