BA were the only airline (that i can remember) to have ever ordered B767 series aircraft with RB211's. They only ordered B767-300 aeroplanes and so i do belive that there is no B767-200 with RR's...

...and China Yunnan, now part of China Eastern.

As Kevin said, no 762s with RRs.

Only the B763 had an option with RollsRoyce RB-211-524Gs.

based upon my memories at the time...

BA, wanting commonality with their 744's, launched the 763 with RB211-524H engines.

Ansett signed a deal for 763's with RB211-524G's (the slightly lower thrust version) and a RB211-524G4-36 rating was planned. However, Ansett backed out, and the mark/rating wasn't certified.

Yunnan originally wanted 752's with RB211's and signed for that. However, they replanned and switched their order to 763's , and to avoid heavy cancellation charges, opted for a RR engines.

Qantas eventually bought some of the BA 767's, giving just three RR/763 operators.

And yes, the 763 is the only 767 with an RR engine option.

I don't understand the Relation.I ask a question of an Aircraft in your region, which you are Familiar about.Im sure You would not know details on the Aircraft that fly out here.
What has the RR got to do with this.

Relax.....Learn to be happy,You'll find the world a better place  Smile

The reason I asked you is because I prefer getting details from persons working in that region rather than reading some Media report which would not always be true.If you are getting tired Answering my questions.Im not forcing you to.

Personally I found your reaction to be out of context. But Each one has their own opinion & so do you.

Most people use this Forum to Learn,Self Included. You can think of me as a Person who knows much less than you,I have no problem with that.

Cheers  Smile

As the name implies, it is a RESPECT rating, not a knowledge rating.

By the way OzLame, I notice that your RR is zero.....

Now lighten up, folks. A simple and reasonable question doesn´t always have to end in a war.

@Mel: British Airways still owns these 763s. Qantas is leasing them directly from BA.
Regs: VH-ZXA (ex G-BNWE), VH-ZXB (ex G-BNWF), VH-ZXC (ex G-BNWG), VH-ZXD (ex G-BNWJ), VH-ZXE (ex G-BNWK), VH-ZXF (ex G-BNWL), VH-ZXG (ex G-BNWP) are 767-338ER with RB 211-524H engines. VH-OGA thru VH-OGV are 767-336ER with GE CF6-80C2B6 engines.

The 762 is approved for the following powerplants:
CF6-80A
CF6-80C
JT9D-7R4
PW4000

Unless there is an STC for the RR that I don't know about, the answer is: No, there are no 762's with RRs.

No problem.

I just noticed I got the customer codes wrong.
The ex-BA ones are 767-336ER and the GE equipped ones are 767-338ER.
