Flying LGW-BGI

Wed Dec 14, 2005 9:21 pm

I am due to fly London Gatwick to Bridgetown, Barbados with Virgin next Feb on one of their Boeing 747-400 aircraft.

Does anybody know what route they would take? I have asked a couple of "short haul" pilots in my local pub but they had no idea!!

Would he go "over the top" and track down the east coast of the U.S, then Florida, the down?

Thanks!

When I came back from BGI (5 years ago now) with VS we didn't track the US coast, just wents straight across the pond.

On a side note I just love Barbados - say Hi and have a Rum Punch for me!

As my name suggests I work for Virgin.

This flight normally crosses the ‘mid Atlantic’ and it’s very rare for it to cross the eastern seaboard or NATrack system.

Sometimes they will take NATracks if there is one that is further south. Routes normally take you over Poole Bay over or towards Lands End then pretty much directly towards Barbados.

If you message me your flight number and date I can find out which aircraft is allocated to that specific service if you like.

Kind Regards

Kimberly.

Try to get a window seat on the Left Hand [port ] side as you get good views of Bardados during the approach
